Last Call (Cocktail #4.5) by Alice Clayton

***WARNING!!! THIS BOOK IS FOR ADULTS!!! 18 and up!!!***

Hey Everyone!! :)

First review of 2015!!

And it's a good one!

Last Call (#4.5 in the Cocktail Series) by Alice Clayton, one of my favorite authors, due to her amazing humor!

From Goodreads:

From NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton, known for her “deliciously addictive” (The Book Vixen) novels, this Cocktail series novella reunites readers with Caroline and Simon from the wildly successful Wallbanger.

Simon and Caroline are back for another round of baking, banging, and big life changes. Settling in, but never settling down, Caroline has finally struck a balance between the professional and the personal. As one of the top interior designers in San Francisco, she travels all over Northern California between nook time with Simon.

Perpetual globetrotter Simon has cut his frequent flyer miles in half over the last year, preferring to balance his professional and personal life, as well.

The next step in their lives seems preordained—toasts, veils, and the aisle of rose petals. But when an accident on a photo shoot in Southeast Asia brings Caroline the most terrifying phone call she could ever imagine, she has to ask whether “till death do us part” is a more realistic prospect than faces most couples.

It’s been a grand adventure, and Caroline and Simon wouldn’t go out without the best surprise ending ever. One part sexy, one part laughter, a dash of exotic locales, and one pink nightie, mixed with passion, and you’ve got Last Call. Served with a side of Clive.

My Thoughts:

So I know, I know, I haven't had the privilege of reading the other books in this series, besides Wallbanger, which I read back in March of 2013, but since this one featured the same main characters as that first book, which made me laugh out loud throughout the entire thing, I knew I just had to read it when it was mailed to me by Gallery Books.  (Which by the way, THANK YOU GALLERY!!!).

So anyway, LOVED IT!!  I loved getting back into Simon and Caroline's world.  They are just the cutest couple ever!!  I love their chemistry!

I REALLY want to read the others now!!! SO BADLY!! I mean, I've been wanting to read them since they first came out, but now after having read Last Call, I REALLY want to even more!!!!!!

What is great about this book, is how it's not overly too much on the sex part.  I mean, yes there is sex, but an intense amount like in Fifty Shades.  There is just that perfect amount, to keep you on your toes, and yet still make you stir in your seat ;).

Like I said, an ADULT BOOK!!!!

Overall rating:

I really really like this series!!! So much!! And I haven't even read the ones in between, I know, probably not the best thing to say, because I'm promoting books I haven't even read yet, but I just can't help knowing that I would love the rest of this series!  Such great characters, she has this great sarcastic humor in her writing that I love.  She's also a fabulous and hilarious person in real life.  I got to talk and interview her last year at an event, which was a ton of fun! We bonded over our love for Robert Pattinson, and his role as Edward :).

So yes, definitely check it out! It came out yesterday so it is available now, in all book retailers!  Amazon and Barnes and Noble both have it! :)

I hope everyone has a great day and a rest of your week! :)

  1. Yay, glad you got a copy. I asked for a copy of Rusty Nailed and she sent it, too :) so I'll read that at some point, and I still have Mai Tai'd Up to read too.
